The battery tray in the CB180Q is great. It is really big and allows for not only bigger battery options but a nice range of COG adjustments. The stock battery is kind of heavy at 56.5 grams. I have some 15C 1000mah batteries that fit in the tray and are only 53 grams. I also tried some of the even smaller batteries such as 850mah and 900mah 15C and 20C's.walkera w100 I like them the best, because both 900mah 15C's and 850mah 20C are at least 10 grams lighter than stock. I like the Outrage 850mah 20C at 43.3 grams the best. I was still getting plenty of fly time and with this heli being brushed motors, better to stick with slightly shorter flights anyway.
Walkera has included a two and three cell lipo charger/balancer with the CB180D. The GA005 balancing charger is designed for lipo batteries only and charges at 0.80A. Two and three cell balance plugs on the front of the GA005 serve as charge and balance inputs. The unit is powered by a 15v switching mode wall adaptor. A full charge takes around an hour to complete,walkera rc helicopter which is confirmed when the blinking red led goes out.
